Job Description of The Recruiter will support Baltimore Corps’ recruitment team in connecting leaders who represent diverse pathways and experiences to opportunities to accelerate change in Baltimore’s social impact sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

RECRUITMENT (60%)
● Research talent sources and pipelines, such as higher education institutions, volunteer programs, mission-aligned organizations, alumni programs, and other sources of talent (both locally and nationally)
● Execute engagement strategies for strengthening recruitment partnerships with flagship institutions
● Identify stakeholders within those identified institutions and programs with whom we can work to strengthen brand awareness and prospect cultivation
● Assist in defining the types of talent that Baltimore Corps seeks, as well as desired goals for the composition of incoming cohort of Fellows, keeping an equity lens at the forefront
● Plan and execute recruitment events and activities, such as conference presentations, career fairs, speaking engagements, events, targeted recruitment, meetings, and other creative approaches

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager of Recruitment and Community Engagement, the Recruiter will work closely with a dynamic programs team to generate a quality pipeline of talent for all Baltimore Corps’ programs and initiatives.
● Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of various recruitment strategies and the overall recruitment
cycle
● Implement and track recruitment efforts designed to increase awareness with prospects, in alignment
with defined recruitment goals
● Assist in managing extensive internal and external communications
● Develop and maintain relationships with prospective candidates
● Assist in creation of recruitment presentations and marketing materials

COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION WITH STAFF (35%)
● Communicate updates about applicants to Senior Program Manager and collaborate to ensure coordinated matching process
● Assist in designing application review process, including rollout to team/volunteers for timely execution
● Collaborate with team throughout recruitment and program cycle – including recruitment, selection, and matching
● Work with Senior Program Manager to inform the team on recruiting progress

SPECIAL PROJECTS (5%)
● Other duties, as required, by the Senior Program Manager of Recruitment and Community Engagement

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
● At least 3 years of relevant experience
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally
● Strong project planning and execution skills
● Excellent written and verbal communications skills and comfortable speaking in public
● Comfort moving toward long-term outcomes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
● Self-starter and strong work ethic; eager to learn and engage with complex systems
● Ability and desire to work with data-driven systems
● Alignment with the mission and core values of Baltimore Corps
